PREPARE. SUPPORT. EMPOWER
Hi, I am Jackie, the founder of The Supportive Mama. I am so glad you are here.
As a Certified Professional Coach specializing in fertility, I help women who are struggling to conceive to maintain mental and emotional wellbeing.
You, Me, and We
I’ve walked the path you’re on now, so I understand the seemingly never-ending cycle of hope, heartache, disappointment, and having to shore yourself up to go through it all again.
As a woman struggling with fertility issues, you feel like you’ve lost control. What seems so easy for other women becomes the biggest challenge to your happiness and your dreams. You lose trust in your bodies. You feel sad and angry and guilty for being jealous of those who have what you so desperately desire.
Once you decided you wanted to start a family, you were looking forward to an exciting time of change and of growing your family and your future. Instead, you find yourselves in a daunting physical and emotional and sometimes soul-crushing endeavor to make your dreams come true.
I endured a personal struggle with fertility for years, had four consecutive miscarriages, severe postpartum anxiety, and PTSD and because of the lack of emotional resources and support, I am determined to help other women like me better navigate the difficulties of fertility issues.
I made it to the other side, but it took a lot – a lot of work, commitment, and digging deep into parts of my journey that were really uncomfortable. Now, I am on a mission to change the way women are cared for before, during, and after fertility issues!
(See the About Jackie section for my full story).
HOW I CAN SUPPORT YOU
Drawing on more than 17 years as a registered nurse, my training as a certified professional coach, and my own experience with fertility struggles, I have developed and launched The Supportive Mama to provide you with the tools, strategies, and support that can help you better navigate the ups and downs of your journey.
This support is available through:
- Private one on one coaching sessions
- Group coaching program
- Online or In-Person Workshops
I have designed my coaching approach around three core concepts:
In working with me, we will…
Prepare you by developing a clear plan of how to navigate the emotions and all the static you’re experiencing. I also help prepare you for the tests, procedures and numerous appointments that occur on most treatment plans.
Support you by creating a safe, confidential space where you can share your fears, hopes, questions, and the emotions that we often try to keep hidden behind a mask of ‘everything’s okay’.
Empower you to take the lead in your fertility journey and have the confidence to know what to ask, when to ask, how to ask and who to ask.
Infertility creates many challenges including:
- Unpredictable emotions
How do we do address those challenges? I have developed a coaching program that will take you through the steps you need to improve your fertility experience.
Over the course of the program, which you can do either one on one or in a group, we will focus on the following:
We will work together to prepare you with a clear plan, understand the questions you need to ask and what the heck the answers mean.
Master Your Emotions
You will learn how to master your emotions and discover the true source of your pain. This will help you to learn how to build yourself back up and become even stronger.
Together, we will define your values and find clarity on your journey to be confident with the numerous decisions you face.
Understand what self-care truly is and how to prioritize yourself again. This is a bulk of the program. I am not talking about baths and pedicures (while those are amazing!), but true disciplined self-care.
Reconnect with Others
Learn who to ask for help, when to ask for help, and how to ask for help all while not feeling guilty. We will also walk through exercises to help you reconnect with others. Support is so valuable during this process and studies have shown that positive social support can enhance outcomes.
There are many different aspects of infertility that can cause grief. While it is not easy, nor fun, understanding how grief impacts your journey is essential.
Oh, those triggers that just smack you in face-yes, those. I will help you manage triggers like a boss!
Move Forward and Beyond
We will discuss the essential tools to move forward on your journey, whatever that looks like for you. It’s time to get unstuck!
I wish I had This
I know if I’d had access to this kind of support it would have helped me to:
- Immediately gain control of certain aspects of my life, during a time when I felt like I was losing my mind.
- Decrease my anxiety, worry less and improve my overall quality of sleep, which I desperately needed.
- Learn how to reconnect with friends and family and ask for help in a more specific way. I became slightly isolated and didn’t always know how to express what I needed clearly.
Hear from a few of my clients
Jackie of the Supportive Mama was exactly what I needed! She helped me realize I wasn’t alone. Because of her I’m better equipped emotionally as she provided me with essential tools to manage stressful and overwhelming emotions. Recently I met with a friend who I told my story to and her first response was “wow, you are really handling this well.” It was the first time someone said that to me in the 2 years of my infertility journey! –DP, Phoenix, AZ
The experience I have had with Jackie through The Supportive Mama has been soul changing. She is wonderfully organized, and the experience felt very customized and compassionate. I discovered parts of me that had been hidden away, with the help of Jackie’s gentle coaching, that could finally be revealed so they could be healed.
I needed a support system beyond friends and family. I needed a sacred space without judgment and discounts. I needed to be honest with myself and practice some serious self-love.
Jackie is your advocate on your journey no matter the end game. This was not a “you’re going to be okay” situation, this was an “it’s okay to not be okay” place where you can safely decipher your emotions.
I’m learning to love myself more after years of being so angry with my body. I’m learning to honor the past and not have it dictate my future.
Thank you, Jackie, for holding space for me during this difficult time. I appreciate you! –AT, Phoenix, AZ
