Do you feel like no one can relate to you or understand the desperation you feel to “just be” happy with your baby?
Do you wish you could shut off your brain and take a break from worrying if your baby is going to be ok?
Are you tired of feeling so emotionally and physically exhausted that you can barely get out of bed and take care of your baby, much less yourself?
Do you feel all alone in the fact that your heart breaks in half and physically causes you pain when you are separated from your baby?
Hi, I’m Jackie, the founder of The Supportive Mama, and I help women who are struggling after having their baby avoid feeling completely stuck, alone, overwhelmed and frustrated.
I help them stop feeling like they’re a horrible mama.
I guide women to take control of their emotions so they can stop suffering.
I help women learn how to ask for the right support and how to get what they want by communicating their needs.
I endured a personal struggle with infertility for years, had four consecutive miscarriages, severe postpartum anxiety, and PTSD and because of the lack of emotional resources and support, I am determined to help other women like me better navigate the difficulties of postpartum issues.
Postpartum issues can create many challenges including:
- Unpredictable emotions
- Detachment from your baby or inability to be separated from your baby.
I made it to the other side, but it took a lot – a lot of work, commitment, and digging deep into parts of my journey that were really uncomfortable. Now, I am on a mission to change the way women are cared for after having their baby!
(See the About Jackie section for my full story).
HOW I CAN SUPPORT YOU
Drawing on more than 17 years as a registered nurse, my training as a certified professional coach, and my own experience with fertility struggles, postpartum anxiety and PTSD, I have developed and launched The Supportive Mama to provide you with the tools, strategies, and support that can help you better navigate the ups and downs of your journey as a new mama.
This support is available through:
- Private one on one coaching sessions
- Group coaching program
I have designed my coaching approach around three core concepts:
In working with me, we will…
Prepare you by developing a clear plan of how to navigate the emotions and all the “static” you’re experiencing. I also help prepare you for the joys and chaos motherhood brings.
Support you by creating a safe, confidential space where you can share your fears, hopes, questions, and the emotions that we often try to keep hidden behind a mask of ‘everything’s okay’.
Empower you to take the lead in your mommyhood journey and have the confidence to know what to ask, when to ask, how to ask and who to ask.
I WISH I HAD THIS
I know if I’d had access to this kind of support it would have helped me to:
- Be able to enjoy my new baby and feel more confident as a mama, something that took me 6 months to realize!
- Immediately gain control of certain aspects of my life, during a time when I felt like I was losing my mind.
- Decrease my anxiety, worry less and improve my overall quality of sleep, which I desperately needed as a new mama.
- Learn how to reconnect with friends and family and ask for help in a more specific way. I became slightly isolated and didn’t always know how to express what I needed clearly.
